Matt Morse

Matt has an Honours degree and twenty years of experience working in the field of Legionella control and water treatment. A fellow of the Water Management Society and a longstanding and active member of IHEEM.

Matt is currently the Legionella Control Association (LCA) Manager (part time) and immediate past Chairman, Director of the Closed Systems Control Association (CSCA) and a member of the British Association of Chemical Specialities (BACS) Water Treatment Group.

As a committee member, Matt has also taken part in several work items for British Standards Institute (BSI) including the British Standard for Legionella risk assessment BS8580-1 and the British Standard for Water Safety Plans BS8680. Matt was also part of the industry working group that developed the ACoP L8 2001 Part 2 guidance into HSG274.

Matt has developed and delivered City and Guilds Accredited training courses in Legionella control for major water treatment companies and delivered CPD training for CIBSE, IOSH and IHEEM.

During a commercial career Matt was involved in developing water treatment chemicals and other products, training, competence assessment and research. Matt now runs his own independent consultancy company in closed system water treatment, legionella control and as a specialist advisor to end users.
