Are you open? Yes, The WMSoc training centre re-opened on the 6th July 2020.

How do I contact you? We would love to hear from you and our staff are still working to help rearrange courses or make future bookings. You can call us on 01827 289558 or email training@wmsoc.org.uk.

Is my course still running? All of our courses are running but with a reduced capacity to maintain social distancing.

For any courses due to run from 1st July onwards, these courses are taking place, however there will be a reduction in the capacity of these courses to maintain social distancing. In addition many of our practical courses will be amended to enable safe use of our practical training area where appropriate.

Anyone booked on practical courses (W017, W024, W028, W036, W037, W038) will be contacted separately with details of course changes and given the possibility to amend their booking.

What changes can I expect? Many of our practical courses have been amended to enable safe use of our practical training area where appropriate. In most cases the examination of these courses has returned to 100% written exams. Some examples of the changes are tutor led discussions, videos and classroom exercises used in place of hands on work where this is deemed to be unsafe.

What should I do if I am in a High Risk group? Please contact us if you are considered at higher risk of contracting COVID-19 according to the government guidance and we will be happy to rearrange your training for later in the year. A full list of high risk groups can be found here section 9.
