Refresher Training

-to update and refresh information to experienced operators, managers and others involved in use or supply of cleaning and disinfection services

Competence

- to formally assess the competence of the delegates attending. This will cover aspects of competence which can be measured in the classroom. It does not include those aspects which must be measured on-the-job, and competence should be reassessed and recorded by management regularly (at least every two years). Why Refresher Training? - Paragraph 45 of the ACOP states that regular refresher training should be given and that records of all initial and refresher training need to be maintained

Why Competence? - Paragraph 45 states that those who carry out control measures and strategies should be informed, instructed, trained to a standard and suitably assessed. They should be trained to a standard which ensures that tasks are carried out in a safe, technically competent manner.

Who should attend? Delegates will be those who have attended any training in the past 10 years on the subject of cleaning and disinfection; this course is not appropriate for those who are looking for first-time training on the subject. Numbers are strictly limited.

This is a full-day course (including assessment) and has been extended in response to feed-back from delegates to previous courses.

All training courses are held at a central location, currently near to Tamworth, Staffordshire.
