Training to the Water Management Society (WMSoc)
The Water Management Society has developed a series of modular presentations to form the training course programme. All WMS tutors are experienced people actively engaged in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment and services.
Un-biased information is presented in a modular format and attendees will be expected to complete a short assessment. Supporting course notes are issued. All delegates will be expected to complete a WMS Assessment. This will confirm understanding of the work completed during the day and complement the usual certificate of attendance, which is issued to delegates after courses.
Combinations of any courses may be selected by companies who wish to design their own (made-to-measure) training course.
Competence: there is a commonly-held opinion that competence can be class-room taught. This is NOT the opinion of the WMSoc; training forms an essential part of competence and should be regularly updated, but there are several other elements to 'competence' including experience and on-the-job supervision.
