WMSOC ACCREDITED COURSE

This accredited course is part of a series of modular presentations forming the training course programme of the Water Management Society

 

Venue: This course is to be held in Fazeley, Tamworth, Staffs. Full joining instructions and maps will be sent to all registered delegates.

Recent events have emphasised the importance of regular cleaning and disinfection of many types of engineered water system.

This course will provide guidance for operators, contractors and specifiers concerned with the selection, application and control of appropriate cleaning/disinfection methods to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation.

Some of the topics covered will be:

  • Current legislative requirements
  • Calculations for dosing and neutralisation of cleaning/disinfection solutions.
  • Concentrations, contact times and other constraints on disinfection effectiveness
  • Cleaning techniques
  • Sampling & testing
  • Safe handling and disposal of chemicals
  • Monitoring, record keeping, validation and certification

WMSoc assessment

All delegates will be expected to complete a WMSoc Assessment. This will confirm understanding of the work completed during the day and complement the usual certificate of attendance.
