WMSOC ACCREDITED COURSE
This accredited course is part of a series of modular presentations forming the training course programme of the Water Management Society.
Venue: This course is to be held in Fazeley, Tamworth, Staffs. Full joining instructions and maps will be sent to all registered delegates.
This course has been designed to give a broad view of the following subjects:
- Basic Water Chemistry
- Methods of external treatment used to produce make-up water suitable for boiler and/ or cooling systems
- Deaeration of boiler feed-water
- Factors affecting concentration of boiler water
- Review of internal treatment programmes for boiler water
- Methods available for treatment of condensate
- Factors affecting concentration of open recirculating cooling water
- Cooling water treatment programmes to control scale corrosion and sludge in cooling systems
- Methods of controlling microbiological growth - slime etc. in cooling water
- Every effort will be made to identify the preferred programme for differing sets of conditions
This training course should be seen as an introduction to the above subjects. In the future combinations of these subjects will be dealt with in much greater depth. However, this training course will serve as an excellent introduction. It will prove particularly attractive where a general overview of the subject is required.
Combinations of these and other subjects may be selected by companies who wish to design their own (made-to-measure) training course.
Delegates will be recent entrants into the industry, people redefining their jobs, and those requiring a refresher course. Delegates at previous courses have also included those looking for an in-house tailored training course to fit particular needs.
WMSoc assessment
All delegates will be expected to complete a WMSoc Assessment. This will confirm understanding of the work completed during the day and the results will be shown on thel certificate of attendance.
