This training course is accredited and assessed by WMSoc. Topics in LCA Training matrix covered by this course: assessment of water treatment programmes/control measures; assessment of records; completing job sheets; safety; water testing and moniring; safe equipment design and installation.
All WMS tutors are experienced people who have been engaged in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment and services.

 

L8 requires that there is proof of competence of those persons who carry out tasks on all types of water systems, this course will provide a starting point in assembling this proof, but will not bestow competence in isolation.

 

This is an assessed and accredited one-day course which will introduce delegates to dosing and control in cooling systems and steam boilers.

All aerosol generating plant and equipment must be subject to a Legionella risk assessment..

Course Content

The day will include:

  • objectives of water treatment and control
  • pre-treatment plant; internal water treatment
  • foaming
  • calculating dose rates
  • control of bleed and blowdown
  • options in control equipment

Expected Delegates This course will be useful to people who have responsibility for the control of cooling systems or steam boilers e.g. system owners, designers, managers, operators, chemical treatment suppliers and service providers. It will also benefit those responsible for the maintenance of control and dosing equipment, and pre-treatment plant.

 

The course can be tailored to meet in-house needs if required.

 

All delegates will be expected to complete a WMS Assessment. This will confirm understanding of the work completed during the day and complement the usual certificate of attendance, which is issued to delegates after courses.
